Description
The Online Audiometric Testing seminar is designed for nurses, medical technicians, and physicians, who want to operate an audiometer, conduct hearing screening, perform audiometric testing, evaluate changes in hearing, and use otoscopy for hearing conservation purposes.
The format will be zoom meetings in the mornings, leaving your afternoons open. With morning meetings the course will run 2 mornings, Thurs and Fri. We are able to more than adequately accomplish the practicums online as well. The test will also be online. The focus of the Audiometric Testing Course/Part One (Thurs & Fri) is preparing participants to conduct hearing screenings and pure-tone audiometry.
You’ll learn how to properly conduct the Forced Whisper Test (for DOT screenings) and how to set up, check the calibration, and use an audiometer.
During the seminar, there will be ample time for spent on audiometry and a practicum for audiometric testing.
This seminar alone would meet OSHA’s expectation that competence is achieved in (1) administering audiometric exams, (2) obtaining valid audiograms, and (3) properly using, maintaining and checking the calibration and proper functioning of audiometers. If you want more training on hearing protection and hearing loss prevention strategies and to achieve training equivalent to CAOHC, then register also for our seminar on hearing conservation/part two.
Courses includes Course materials (pdf), CAOHC Manual, an otoscope, hearing protection and a gift!
Please note, you will need to install Adobe Air and additional program.
